قال مالك السفينة نادر المحتجزة في ميناء برنيس الحربي منذ أسبوعين، محمد المبارك الخضر إنه خسر نحو ٤٠ الف دولار جراء التوقف القسري في الميناء الحربي.
وأكد أنه حتى لو تم الإفراج عن السفينة سيحتاجون إلى شراء وقود ديزل لا يقل عن الخمسين طن لنفاد الكمية التي كانت بالسفينة من الوقود والمياه والاكل وغيره. وطالب المبارك الحكومة السودانية بالتواصل العاجل مع الحكومة المصرية والزامها بجبر الضرر الذي لحق بهم جراء الحجز الظالم الذي تعرضت له السفينة بكامل طاقمها. وأبان بحسب صحيفة السوداني، إنه طاف على كل الجهات السودانية المسؤولة عن مثل هذه الملفات ولم يجد الاهتمام اللازم .
